Swanpool Beach

Swanpool is a small lake behind a shingle bar, separating it from the beach of the same name, near Falmouth, on the south coast of Cornwall, UK. It is between Maenporth and Gyllyngvase, on the South West Coast Path. There was formerly a mine extending beneath the lagoon.

It is approximately a 10 minute walk from us and a one mile from the town centre. A notable building in the area is Swanpool House, a 19th century building which was occupied by American forces during the Second World War but is now in use as holiday apartments.

Swanpool Beach Cafe is situated on the beach, and Beach House Falmouth Restaurant is overlooking. The new footpath alongside Falmouth Golf Club ( with restuarant and bar Above the Bay open to non members )  will bring you to the coast path and the beach. Water sports are also available here with Elemental.

There is no dedicated lifeguard service on this beach. Large car park available.
